The Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP) is a professional body for town planners in Singapore. The Institute is dedicated to the advancement of urban planning and to promote planning practice as a profession. The specific objectives of the Institute are to promote and contribute towards advancement of urban planning and planning practice as a profession and encourage planning consultancy work in both the public and private sectors.
For the last 35 years, the Institute has maintained an active part in supporting the development of the town planning profession in Singapore. It has played a pivotal role in the providing feedback to the planning authorities in Singapore and made representation on committees and panels set up by the former Singapore Planning Department and the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore.
The Institute was represented in the making/review of the Singapore Concept Plan 2001, Master Plan 2003 and Green Plan 2012 as well as dialogues with the relevant government agencies to promote urban planning excellence in Singapore.

The Centre for Energy Environment Resources Development (CEERD) conducts Training, Research and Consultancy in the field of energy-environment in the framework of international cooperation projects aiming to strengthen the capacity of national governments in the Asian region on above fields. CEERD has been endorsed by Thailand's Ministry of Energy to be a member of the ASEAN Centre for Energy's (ACE) Network of Nodal Centres.
CEERD's extensive knowledge of the region’s energy and environment markets has enabled it to propose environmental engineering consulting services. As a natural evolution of the Centre, CEERD is carrying out more and more projects with the private sector, notably in the fields of Sustainable development, Energy efficiency and CDM (Pre/Full feasibility studies, preparation of PINs and PDDs).

The International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) is a global association of experienced professional planners. It was founded in 1965 in a bid to bring together recognised and highly-qualified planners in an international network. The ISOCARP network brings together individual and institutional members from more than 70 countries worldwide. As a non-governmental organisation ISOCARP is recognized by the UN, UNHCS and the Council of Europe. The Society also has a formal consultative status with UNESCO.
The objectives of ISOCARP include the improvement of planning practice through the creation of a global and active network of practitioners. ISOCARP encourages the exchange of professional knowledge between planners, promotes the planning profession in all its forms, stimulates and improves planning research, training and education and enhances public awareness and understanding of major planning issues at a global level.
The association‘s main event is the annual World Congress , which focuses on a globally-significant planning theme and which takes place in a different country each year.
